A ritual made in a time of great grief. To release my anger.
To honour the memory of my dad; returning home after a long day of work with flickers of pain on his hands. My dad would take me down to the beach and we would go surf or swim. Letting the ocean wash the skin, washing the day away. The memory of being at the ocean with my dad, hanging out after scool and as the sunsets talking about life, gives me with warmth.

“In three words, I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on.” —Robert Frost.

Audio:
Recording of live performance & overlay of short sound clips from a longer recording between my dad and myself, during his treatment.

Special thank you to Julian Tynan and Molly Coulter.
