BIOGRAPHY
He grew up on the Central Coast. The son of a draughtsman and builder who loved architecture. On Saturday mornings they sat together at his father's drafting table, drawing plans on graph paper: extensions to the family home, imagined rooms, spaces that didn't exist yet. It took years to understand what those mornings were making him.
He left art school, worked various jobs, and eventually fell into leading a creative team for a music festival on the coast. That work, assembling collaborators, building temporary worlds for performance, designing under pressure with almost nothing, became the foundation of a practice he didn't yet have a name for.
He was educated on Gadigal and Bidjigal Country, studying at NIDA (BFA Design for Performance, 2021), where he trained under some of Australia's finest designers and directors and found the language for what he'd been doing all along.
Since graduating, his work has moved between major Australian productions and independent projects of his own making. He believes both matter, and that one feeds the other. He is drawn to texture, natural light, and environments that carry the evidence of lives lived. His approach begins with the script and ends with a space that feels as though it existed before the camera arrived.
His credits include Narrow Road to the Deep North, Heartbreak High, The Twelve, Collapsible (co-creator and designer, Old Fitz Theatre), Rash (St Kilda Film Festival and Flickerfest finalist), and When the Ground Paused, which received its Australian premiere at MIFF and its international premiere at TIFF 2026.
He currently lives and works on unceded Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung land.
